PRESS RELEASE || GRADUATION DAY DPDA
On Friday 12 July 2024, the Department of Performing and Digital Arts (DPDA) had its first Graduation ceremony since the 2019/20, at the Vouleftiko. A beautiful and historical day in a historical space as the Vouleftiko; the first Greek Parliament in Nafplio, located at Syntagma Square, which brings the Department of Performing and Digital Arts in a new era.
As part of the ceremony, welcome speeches were given by the Rector of the University of the Peloponnese, Prof. Athanasios Katsis, the Dean of School of Arts, Prof. Yiannis Leontaris (DTS), the Head of the Department of Performing and Digital Arts, Associate Prof. Marina Kotzamani (DTS) and the Mayor of the Municipality of Nafplion, Dimitris Orfanos, as well as all the faculty members, special teaching staff and administrative staff of the DPDA.
During the ceremony, the Rector of the University of Peloponnese, made an announcement regarding the donation of the house of the poet Nikos Karouzos, from the University of Peloponnese to the Municipality of Nafplion. The event ended with a short musical program by the Nafplio Municipal Choir - Mixed Polyphonic Group, under the direction of the conductor Theodosis Antoniadis. Department DPDA warmly thanks the Municipality of Nafplion for the offer of beverages to the graduates and for the kind concession of the space of the Vouleutiko
Our Head of the DPDA, Associate Prof. Marina Kotzamani and all the faculty members and special teaching staff wish happy graduation day to all our graduates, who are able now to open a new path towards innovative careers, projects and collaborations across performing and digital arts!
