DPDA INFRASTRUCTURES

The Department of Performing and Digital ARTS is housed in four (4) building complexes in the city of Nafplio, which it uses jointly with the Department of Theatre Studies.  Please check the interactive map available here for any particular details of each building 

📍  ARIA BUILDING

Aria building – A modern building in the village of Aria (map: end of Retali street – Rhodes Lane) which consists of a ground floor of 400 sq.m. and a first floor of 194 sq.m. as well as auxiliary spaces of 396 sq.m. The building is within walking distance from the city centre (app. 30 minutes) and is also located near a local, inter-city bus stop. It includes 4 classrooms with a capacity of at least 60 students each, 1 room with a capacity of at least 120 students, a computer lab for students with 25 desks, a faculty work room with 10 seats as well as space for rehearsals and material storage. The existing teaching spaces (6 classrooms with a capacity of 480 seats) cover the basic teaching needs of the Undergraduate Program, provided that all possibilities are utilized with effective management. The teaching areas have modern technological equipment (PCs, projectors, and panels). Outside and inside the building there are special constructions for disabled student access.

📍  PINAKOTHIKI LECTURE ROOM, DPDA SECRETARIAT BUILDING

In the DPDA Secretariat building in the old town of Nafplio (21 Vas. Konstantinou and Terzaki street), there is another (1) classroom [Pinakothiki Lecture Room] on the 1st floor opposite the DPDA Secretariat offices. The room is equipped with chairs, a desk, a computer, Internet access, and a projection system.

📍  DPDA SECRETARIAT BUILDING

Building in the old town of Nafplio (21 Vas. Konstantinou and Terzaki). It houses the offices of the Secretariat of the Department of Performing and Digital Arts (1st floor). The DPDA Secretariat is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 14:00.

📍  CENTRAL BUILDING SCHOOL OF ARTS

The Central Building of the School of Arts (Vas. Georgiou II & Iraklous) includes offices for teaching and technical staff, two (2) classrooms, one (1) of which is also used for practical exercises (Leda Tasopoulou Hall). There is also a computer lab room (ground floor).

📍  SCENOGRAPHY LAB

In addition, there is a fully equipped Scenography Lab (Konstantinou Palaiologou and Mikras Asias street), which is used by both departments (DPDA, DTS) of the School of Arts, University of the Peloponnese.

📍  SCHOOL OF ARTS LIBRARY

The Library of the School of Arts (DPDA and DTS) is located on the 2nd floor of the Central Building (Vas. Georgiou II & Irakleous), along with one (1) computer room. Information regarding our Library sections can be found here.

📍  UNIVERSITY STUDENT CANTEEN SPACE 

The department has a student dining hall in a rented space at the University of the Peloponnese (shared with the DTS), located at (Charmanta and N. Lambrou, Synikismos, O.T. 38). Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. | Lunch and dinner are served from 13:30 p.m. to 19:00 p.m.
