The selection and promotion of Higher Education Institution (HEI) faculty members are conducted by committees composed of Professors or Senior Researchers. For appointments or promotions to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, the committee may also include Associate Professors or researchers of an equivalent rank. Committee members are selected from registries of internal and external members, which are compiled per academic subject by the Deanery, approved by the Senate, and updated every two years
