This section presents all the information about the Undergraduate Study Guide of the Department of Performing and Digital Arts, as well as its previous editions (2019-present)

The Undergraduate Studies Programme of the Department of Performing and Digital Arts (PDA) aims to further the advancement of knowledge, the development of research and the arts and the satisfaction of the educational, research, social, economic and cultural needs of the country, with particular emphasis on contemporary artistic directions in the performing and digital arts that are linked to art, technology, education and society. The studies it provides prepare artists specialised in the connection between the performing and digital arts, the use of technology related to these subjects, and the social components. The above, combined with the provision of the knowledge required for teaching them and their application in educational and social institutions and in the creative industries. Although the physiognomy of the Department is mainly artistic, studies in it also provide technological training. 

At the second level, background theoretical training is also provided in the fields of Performing Arts and Digital Media Theory, Art History, and Cultural Theory more broadly. At the same time, students will become familiar with the basic principles of the Ethics of Technology and the Methodology of Research, since at the end of their studies they will be invited to write and present a public lecture in the context of their thesis (artistic or theoretical research). In addition, during their studies, in addition to individual and group projects (artistic and theoretical), they will present their work in public spaces of artistic activities (theatres, exhibitions) and on the internet. 

The PDA curriculum has been designed in accordance with the Bologna Treaty and fully complies with the European Credit Transfer Units (ECTS) system. The studies at the Department of Performing and Digital Arts last for 8 academic semesters, the successful completion of which leads to level six (6) of the National and European Qualifications Framework, according to article 47 of Law No. 4763/2020 (A' 254), on the architectural structure and descriptive indicators of framework levels. The program provides students with options for selection, provided that the total number of ECTS for the degree is at least 240 ECTS.
