The Greek-French cultural association FichtiArt www.fichtiart.com, organizer of the festival of the same name, which this year took place for the fifth year, organizes an Artist Residency in the city of Nafplio. The main objective of the initiative is to promote the culture of contemporary art, the dissemination of new artistic expressions, the cultural exchange and the enrichment of the local community through contact with international creators. The guests are two internationally renowned artists from Morocco:

● Mustafa Romlì, multifaceted artist working with photography, installation, painting and ceramics, founder/president of the Biennale of Contemporary Art of Casablanca (https://www.biennalecasablanca.org/), Director of the Résidence d'Artistes Ifitry (IFITRY Essaouira | Maroc Premium), the Centre d'Art Contemporain d'Essaouira and the Fondation Maroc Premium.

● Aicha Abouhaj, an up-and-coming artist, designer and art director, based in Casablanca, focusing on sculpture and painting. The two artists will stay in Argolida for ten days, as part of the Artistic Hospitality FichtiArt action, which is under the auspices and subsidized by the Ministry of Culture. During their stay, they will work on the creation of a medium-sized work that will be placed in a public space in the area, as a permanent artistic imprint, a legacy for the area.

FICHTIART
The FichtiArt festival, an initiative of the Greek-French association of the same name and chaired by Mrs. Eleni Tsetsekou, has evolved in recent years into a dynamic core of artistic and cultural activity in Argolida. In addition to its established summer festival – which includes music, theater, architecture, poetry, literature, ecology, dance and visual arts – FichtiArt has implemented a number of independent initiatives. Indicatively, we mention the action to support the reopening of the Peloponnese railway line for tourist purposes, in collaboration with the Swiss Consulate, and the holding of art events in railway stations of Argolis, as well as the presentation of Land Art works in Mycenae by a seven-member group of artists, on the occasion of the restoration of the "path of the graves". Thanks to the stable and high-quality presence of the institution in the region, the collaborations that support this new artistic residency program are numerous and particularly important.
