🔵 the first student conference / festival of the DPDA is a fact!

The Department of Performing and Digital Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Peloponnese organizes the 1st Student Conference and Festival of Student Research and Creation on Performance, Technology and Artistic Research which will take place on 🗓️ Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the University's premises in 📍 Aria, Nafplio.

 

 
 

 

 


🔴 Open Call

The conference/festival invites undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate students to present research or artistic projects, completed or in progress, through oral presentations, poster presentations, digital exhibitions of works and performances!


🟡 Objective

The aim of the event is to create an open space for meeting and dialogue between artistic practice, research and modern technologies.


🔵 Thematic areas

Proposals can be included (but not limited to) thematic areas:

● Hybridity and performance

● Digital game development and applications

● Digital dramaturgies and new narrative structures

● Dance, technology, and embodied knowledge

● Theatre, performance and ritual

● Installations and digital performance formats

● Animation and digital storytelling

● Digital art and artificial intelligence

● Archives, memory, and artistic research

● Experimental and interdisciplinary approaches

● Social applications of the performing or digital arts


🔴 Forms of participation

The presentations will be organized in thematic meetings (clusters) that combine different forms of presentation, enhancing the dialogue between theory and practice. Participants can submit papers in the following formats:

  • ORAL PRESENTATION: Presentation of theoretical and/or art-based research papers (practice research). Presentation duration: 10 ́-15 ́

     

  • POSTER PRESENTATION: A poster presentation of research results, artistic works, case studies or ongoing projects with optional presentation. Duration: 5 ́

 

  • DIGITAL PROJECT EXHIBITION: Presentation of digital / multimedia works or other interactive applications such as video art, video performance, animation, digital games, virtual-augmented reality projects, online or hybrid artistic works. Presentation duration: between 5 ́-15 ́ (unless otherwise specified)

     

  • INSTALLATION PROJECTS: Presentation of an installation project incorporating a variety of media (audiovisual, audio, mixed media, etc.). The choice of space should meet safety requirements, be available, and be within the framework of Aria's building.

 

  • PRESENTATION OF THEATRICAL, CHOREOGRAPHIC WORKS or PERFORMANCE: Live, hybrid or digital performances, including performance art, dance (screen dance & live), theatre or experimental forms of performance using digital media. Presentation duration: 10 ́-15 ́ (unless otherwise specified)

🟡 What I need to submit for my proposal

In order to participate, students are invited to submit through an online form a short presentation proposal, which includes the following information

  1. Title of the proposal

  2. Names of participants

  3. Form of participation

  4. Short description of the sentence (150-200 words)

  5. Technical or spatial needs

  6. Short CV (100-150 words)
