Biography
Laurence Dubé-Rushby is a French-born artist, educator, and researcher whose
work explores the intersection of performance, visual art, and education. Based in the UK, she has led a 28-year career delivering commissions, exhibitions, and public art projects across England, France, and Italy, supported by Arts Council England and the British Council. She holds a PhD in Creative Pedagogies from University of the Arts London, where she tested a live art methodology promoting creative disruption in education. Laurence is a member of Performance Studies International (Psi), Axis, and NSEAD (National Society of Education in Art and Design).

The presentation
Laurence Dubé-Rushby’s doctoral research developed DARE (Disruptive, Artistic, Reflexive, Experience), a live art methodology grounded in constructivist (Dewey, 1987; Piaget, 1970; Glasersfeld, 1990) and critical pedagogical theories (Freire, 2001; Giroux, 2017). The study positions artistic disruption as a catalyst for social change and self-construction through reflexive performance practice (Fels, 2007).
