SCHOOL OF ARTS LIBRARY (University of the Peloponnese): NAFPLIO

The Academic Library of the School of Arts is located on the 2nd floor of the Central Teaching Offices of the School of Arts of the University of Peloponnese. It has an area of 126.15 sq.m., a reading room with a capacity of 11 seats and is equipped with a computer room in which there are 11 computers for bibliographic searches and 3 computers for editing – multimedia. The Library contains more than 10,300 books. This collection includes basic textbooks, manuals, monographs and journals related to the subjects of study of each semester, while at the same time it covers to a significant extent the bibliographic needs for further research, study and writing of papers.

The main thematic units covered are: Theatre (Greek & World), Scenography, Costume Design, Direction, Acting, Cinema, Music, Fine Arts, Literature (Greek & World), Literary Theory, Translation Theory, Theatre and Culture Theory, Social Sciences and Humanities. The Library has audiovisual material (DVDs and audiovisual material of theatrical plays), special collections-donations and theatrical programs. It also has access to international libraries via the Internet, while all users have full-text access to electronic journals, electronic databases and e-books of international scope through the Hellenic Academic Libraries Consortium (HEAL-link). In the library area there is free internet access through an installed wireless connection system (Wi-Fi).
