He was born and grew up in Athens. He holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (University of Patras), a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (National Technical University of Athens) and a doctoral degree (University of the Aegean). He has worked as an operator of optical networks and data networks at the Greek Telecommunications Organization, as an integrated circuit designer at INTRACOM S.A. and as an application developer in collaboration with companies and agencies worldwide. He has participated in research projects at the National Technical University of Athens (medical image processing) and at the University of the Aegean (document image analysis, robotic vision). He has taught computer science in secondary education, as well as programming, computer vision, data structures and information retrieval at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean. Since October 2021 he is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff of the Department of Performance and Digital Arts at the University of Peloponnese. His interests are digital image processing and the composition of algorithmic music.
